The Granefeltet is an oil field located about 185 kilometers west of Haugesund. The field was discovered by Norsk Hydro in 1991, and production started on 23 September 2003. Grane is the first field on the Norwegian continental shelf to produce heavy crude oil. The field has been developed with the platform Grane, which stands at a depth of 127 metres. The platform was designed by Aker Solutions Engineering in the period 2000-2003.
The project manager was Per Melsom, T&U / Norsk Hydro. – In the entire process, SGL was involved with responsibility for coaching and the project’s internal management development, from the very beginning to the end. -At the end of the year, Grane was named project of the year in relation to time/delivery, costs and quality/TQM
