SGL in project
SGL is designed for projects, with its vast experience and knowledge of group formation, group development, team expectations and project assignments from beginning to handover. The hallmark of the project is always a clear start and an agreed handover, at an estimated price and a specific quality standard. This means that the project organization must continuously change in relation to the task at hand
Grane project received the year’s award for best delivery, quality and leadership, with SGL-coaching at all levels from beginning to end. Here is our story about the communication and objectives:
while progress, costs and quality requirements must be maintained. This requires a high degree of delegation, cooperation and personal involvement in each other’s areas of responsibility. In order to achieve such goals, high professional competence, good chemistry, proper communication and mutual trust relationships are required. – It goes without saying that such cultures do not arise by themselves, because you gather 8-10 skilled professionals in the same place at the same time and pay them to deliver the best possible results. – It all requires a process and a leader who understands the game step by step, or who collaborates with a facilitator or a coach with sufficient authority. SGL has done this many times, and will share some experiences in the following.
GRANE - our best delivery
The “Granefeltet” is an oil field located about 185 kilometers west of Haugesund. The field was discovered by Norsk Hydro in 1991, and production started on 23 September 2003. Grane is the first field on the Norwegian continental shelf to produce heavy crude oil. The field has been developed with the platform Grane, which stands at a depth of 127 metres. The platform was designed by Aker Solutions Engineering in the period 2000-2003. The project manager was Per Melsom, T&U / Norsk Hydro. – In the entire process, SGL was involved with responsibility for coaching and the project’s internal management development, from the very beginning to the end. -At the end of the year, Grane was named and honored: “Project of the year” – in relation to time/delivery, costs and quality/TQM
